When I heard KHInsider was featuring comments and art on Birth By Sleep, I had a sudden compulsion to do something. At first I pulled out an old piece to finish (something I'd thought of several years ago) but realized it was far too complex to finish in a few days. So I opted to do a piece of Aqua instead.

And I had the honor of being the last piece of art featured in the countdown: [link]

Out of all three characters, Aqua is the one who keeps me the most curious, since she doesn't seem to be immediately linked to anything else, unlike both Terra and Ven's appearances. Aqua stands alone as a strong, graceful figure and as an enigma. And I'll be darned if I don't cosplay her someday.

Birth By Sleep, after three and a half years, comes out tomorrow. As I've stumbled onto spoilers (I've been pretty good) and seen ads, my emotions run higher. From the impending thrill of a new adventure to the growing dread of what will befall the characters. There's a distinct, indescribable feeling associated with this game I haven't even played yet, and I look forward to how this feeling will evolve as I play in the recommended order: First Terra, then Ventus, and saving Aqua for last. And I expect to cry harder than I did for poor Xion. (Yes, I liked her, please look up the web definition for Mary Sue and note the differences between that and her character.) And I'll be darned if I don't get that secret ending.

Happy BBS Eve everyone! Tomorrow I'll be off to get my bundle, literally take it to DHS to ride Star Tours I for the last time with said game in my pack (how appropriate) and then head to Magic Kingdom to actually fire it up there, starting Terra's story. I'll later start Ven's in Animal Kingdom and weeks later Aqua's in EPCOT. I even think I know where I'll sit for those.

As Nomura said, "Keep your Keyblades tight!" We're in for a wonderful ride.
