Happy 10th Anniversary for kingdom Hearts!

For those of you who noted me I'll be there as soon as I can. Work and life in general's been crazy. Well, a little more than normal lately.

March 28th (in Japan) marks the release of the first Kingdom Hearts game. I came into it about 3 years later with Chain of Memories, and fell in love with the story of a child who was, with the help of Donald, Goofy, and his magical weapon, looked for his friends. Hard to believe the series is that old.

This wallpaper is actually pretty old. I made it after making the images of Sora and Riku (I had nothing to do wit that logo, and I take no credit for it). The images were for tee shirt designs, a Sora one for the lovely :iconlynxgriffin:, and a Riku one for myself. I realized that I'd never submitted it, so here it is. Appropriate since in about 4 hours, a game where both are playable will release in Japan (Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance (KH3D)). Which means it's time for me to start avoiding spoilers like the plague.

The concept was for each character to be standing in their respective "element," to be defined by the opposite (though we'll see with the KH3D taglines...) Sora is light, but defined by his shadows that all hearts possess (but seven of course). Riku stands in darkness, defined by the light of dawn he seeks.

Kingdom Hearts, logo, characters and designs for Sora and Riku are copyright Disney And Square Enix. And it's for that reason that no, I am not selling the aforementioned shirts.

Loving the simple black and white design you've used for this...
It creates a simple, yet wonderfully artistic look to the image, expressing the whole 'light - dark' theme from the games.
Plus as always, you captured the characters wonderfully!

Fantastic work as always Rabby! And I hope all is well for you!
