Artist's Comments

Look what I finally did!!! A picture done in the style of comic artist and movie pre-production artist Ricardo Delgado. Delgado has I believe done work for at least one of the Star Trek movies, and I’m sure about his involvement in Disney’s Dinosaur, Atlantis: the Lost Empire, and the Incredibles.

The color style is like as seen in his comic compilation, “Age of Reptiles: the Hunt.” The colorist was James Sinclair

The Hunt received the Eisner Award, “nominated for Best Limited Series and Talent Deserving of Wider Recognition.” And yes, Eisner as in Michael. In fact, the introduction was done by Thomas Schumacher himself.

Medium: Uniball pen and digitally colored in Photoshop CS and Elements 1.0.

It\'s not what makes the person, it\'s what that person makes!

absolutely cool! :D hmm, I'd say only maybe it could use a bit more contrasts and shadows, but then they're in the desert or sth...yet the shadows under their jaws got a bit brightened up by the coloring I think....(aw, you got CS...)

Thanks! Hmm, might take you up on that suggestion. I'll have to look a little later, but it probably wouldn't be too hard to do...

No, I don't have CS, just access to it. My school's computer lab has it, and when you have work to do and you don't want to deal with your computer freezing, go somewhere it won't. ;) I think I prefer the layout on Elements 2.0 better, I dunno, but yeah, CS is nice.

Oh, wow. Love the style, and the raptors are uber-cool.

Very cool. I like the title too (Theif and Hunter). ;-) I do agree that it could use more shading. I know deserts have a lot of direct sunlight which would cause stark shadows. It would help if you at least put some shadows under the two characters. The action is very nice though and reads well in silohuette. Nice work.

Thanks! If you like the style, I highly suggest Delgado's comics, especially "the Hunt."

Excellent and :cookies: for you for catching the title!

Thanks! I'll have to try the new shading sometime.
